Jesus heals a girl at the beach!
Tonight we had a worship night with young adults at our beach… we decided to move down to the public beach for more space to worship! Gabrielle (my friend and the one who stepped out in faith to begin these Friday nights of worship) came early to help with the setup. We bbqd hotdogs, set up all the beach games from the boathouse, brought out a table and blankets and chairs and drove down to the public beach. At 6pm, people started trickling down the sandy path, conversing, playing spikeball, cornhole and enjoying some food and fellowship!
Nearing 7oclock I noticed a girl slowly walking alongside another girl (whom I found out to be her sister), coming down the path to the beach. The girl had a walker and I immediately felt drawn to go up to them. The second she turned and looked at me I saw her beautiful face, however, it seemed as though she had experienced a stroke as the one side of her face was paralyzed. I immediately felt the presence of the Holy Spirit fill up inside me. I asked her name, her sister responded as she couldn’t speak very well- Becky! Both sisters had a glow about them. The love of Jesus was covering them. Becky’s sister said she had been struggling for what had now been a year with undiagnosed issues that had left her with facial paralysis, weak muscles that have not allowed her to walk without support and the inability to speak without extreme difficulty. She had been a worship leader in our community and after multiple testings the doctors had left her with no hope because they couldn’t find anything in any of the tests.
I looked at Becky and without hesitation, in a way only prompted by The Holy Spirit, He told me clearly “She will speak the name of Jesus tonight.” “I will heal her tonight” and I spoke that over her, for some reason without a single ounce of fear- it was a complete knowing that I have never experienced but it was directly from the Holy Spirit.
We all sat down on blankets and began worship with the lead guitar. The evening was warm and the water was perfectly calm so our voices carried across the water and the whole bay could hear our praises to Jesus. At one point in worship the Holy Spirit brought Becky to my heart and I immediately began praying over her in the Spirit for her healing, to let her speak the name of Jesus, to let her sing praises to you Jesus, let her walk, let her RUN, let her JUMP, let her DANCE!!!! Jesus Jesus Jesus. I repeated Jesus Jesus Jesus as worship was still surrounding my ernest prayers and cry’s to the Lord. I felt so much heat inside of me, the Holy Spirit was filling me and I told Him, I don’t need to touch her, I know you will heal her. Thank you Jesus.
Halfway through worship, Gabrielle felt we should break off in partners and pray. I prayed with 2 girls and we had a great time of encouragement and prayer. As we’re praying I hear sobbing (not subtle crying but pure sobbing). We went back to worship and I decided to sit along the side. Again, I hear sobbing and I turn around and someone is standing at the edge of the forest where the beach begins. I turn back around thinking it’s someone off the road who heard our singing and a few minutes later I see Becky’s sister run over to this person standing there. I start hearing two voices and I look over again and realize it’s BECKY STANDING without a walker!! I immediately run over and say “did Jesus just heal you?” She SHOUTS! YES! JESUS HEALED ME JESUS HEALED ME!! Becky starts RUNNING! JUMPING! DANCING FOR JOY!!!!! The Holy Spirit was speaking through her in a way that felt it was Jesus standing right in our midst. She starts preaching to our group that Jesus HEALED HER that she could not walk, that she could not talk, that she could not smile in her paralysis BUT GOD!!!!
Hallelujah!!! Praise be to God, HE STILL DOES MIRACLES!!!!
There is not one person on that beach tonight that will ever say God’s not real, because JESUS SHOWED UP! JESUS HEALED BECKY COMPLETELY!!! And from all anxiety and depression!! She told me after she has never been able to speak in public (although she had been able to sing on a worship team) and when I heard her speak for the first time, she was evangelizing, the Holy Spirit completely took over and she was preaching to the crowd.
GOD IS FAITHFUL!!!!
After her preaching, our voices raised and we sang cries out to Jesus of thanksgiving for his goodness and faithfulness! Everyone was immediately filled with the Holy Spirit and we all started jumping and dancing and singing praise louder and louder!!! Becky starts SPRINTING down the beach like I’ve never seen someone sprint and we are all in AWE.
She runs back into our circle and starts dancing and jumping as we’re surrounding her, singing praises to the Lord! GODS NOT DEAD HE’S SURELY ALIVE!!! And the song Graves into Gardens! :

Tears streamed down my face because I couldn’t believe my eyes! ONLY GOD He still heals! THANK YOU JESUS! I have no words. No doctor could ever do such a miracle ONLY GOD ONLY GOD!!!!
Praise Jesus forever and ever!!
Camille (another friend of mine) came up to me after and said that Becky had asked her whose place this was. Camille pointed at me and in disbelief Becky told her when I went over to meet her for the first time, she said she felt the Holy Spirit radiating inside me and THAT IS THE MOMENT WHEN JESUS SAID I WILL HEAL HER TONIGHT!!! WOW!!!! NO WORDS!!!!! ONLY GOD!!!
At the church conference in Pennsylvania, God gave me a vision of rebirth at this beach. I saw jumping and dancing and praising- and now I see that was BECKY!! THE DETAILS. GOD IS IN THE DETAILS!! He is always working!!
Becky told me she had a doctors appointment tonight, but God had clearly told her to Go to this worship night and watch what I (The Lord) will do! And in every attempt that the devil tried to stop her, God NEVER fails!!! She showed up (isn’t that all that God requires of us!!?). In our weakness, Gods power can be put on display and oh is this the Truth!
Her sister drove her and she came and she praised and she was HEALED!!!! Hallelujah! God is truly alive. He is the ultimate MIRACLE WORKER! The CHAIN BREAKER!!!!! The ULTIMATE HEALER!!! Our HOLY GOD forever and ever! I will never stop praising His Holy name. Thanks be to God, His love endures forever.
This is the story I wanted to share. God can take the tiniest seed of faith and move mountains. Our dear friend Becky, came to this worship night feeling defeated by the attacks of the enemy, not being able to walk without assistance, not being able to speak without constant hinderances and stutters, not being able to sing, not being able walk, not be able to run, not being able to dance. But God! He stepped in and turned all of that around.
Becky walked down the path coming into the worship night with a walker and her sister holding her steady and she RAN out with that walker folded up in her arms and praising the Lord. She is now back on the worship team and her voice is anointed!!
The doctors couldn’t heal her, but Jesus surely did.
As Jesus calmed the waters of the lake that night to a stillness I’ve never seen, every person near the lake, regardless of how far down the way, heard the name of Jesus. Becky didn’t just get healed, hundreds of people witnessed the Power of God! There is no one like our God. Hallelujah!
This is a beautiful testament that God is still doing bible sized miracles today and all it takes is the tiniest seed of faith! I hope this encourages you as it greatly did for me!
