Homecoming Recovery

Finding Hope. Finding Freedom. Coming Home.

Addiction is a heavy burden—but you don’t have to carry it alone. Whether you’re struggling with alcohol, opiates, or any other addiction, or walking the road of recovery, Homecoming Recovery is a place where you can find healing, encouragement, and community in Jesus.

What Is Homecoming Recovery?

Homecoming Recovery is a faith-based recovery microchurch at Open Arms Community Church. We believe that freedom comes not only through the hard work of recovery, but also through the grace and power of Jesus Christ.

Each week, we gather to:

  • Walk through the 12 Steps of Recovery as seen in the Bible
  • Read from the Life Recovery Bible
  • Share stories, struggles, and victories
  • Pray together and encourage one another

The environment is open, safe, and welcoming. The only expectation is simple: come as you are.

Who Is It For?

  • Anyone struggling with addiction
  • People in recovery who want ongoing support
  • Family members who want to better understand
  • Those who feel unsure about faith but are open to exploring

As Robert Erickson, the group leader, says:
“Jesus will meet you where you are and when you are ready. He isn’t the one who left—we are. But when you turn back, He’s right there to welcome you home.”

Why “Homecoming”?

The name comes from Robert’s own story of brokenness and restoration. After years of addiction, jail time, and hopelessness, Robert hit rock bottom. But in that dark place, God gave him a clear message: “Are you ready to come home to Me? I’ve been waiting.”

That’s what this group is all about—coming home to Jesus and discovering that true recovery starts with Him.
