Help Us Fill the Parking Lot! Host a Trunk at Bradford’s 20th Annual Trunk or Treat
For 20 years, Trunk or Treat has brought families from across the Bradford area together for a fun, safe and free Halloween night.
This year, we’re celebrating the 20th Annual Trunk or Treat — at a brand-new location at Open Arms Community Church, 71 Congress Street in Bradford.
Now we need your help filling the parking lot!
We’re Looking for Trunks
We’re inviting people from throughout our community to decorate a vehicle, bring some candy and join us for Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 31, 2026.
You can host a trunk as an individual or get a group together. We’d especially love to see local businesses, nonprofits, community organizations, service clubs, first responders, schools, sports teams, college organizations and churches represented.
Hosting a trunk gives your organization an opportunity to meet and connect with hundreds of local families. Bring a banner or sign, wear your organization’s shirts or uniforms, and let people know about the work you’re doing in our community.
Most importantly, you’ll be helping us give Bradford-area kids and families a great Halloween experience.
You Don’t Have to Build Something Elaborate
Don’t let Pinterest intimidate you.
Your trunk can be as simple or creative as you want. Hang up some decorations, put out a bowl of candy and have fun with it.
Our suggested theme for 2026 is Fairy Tales — castles, dragons, enchanted forests, knights, princesses, storybook characters and more.
But the theme is completely optional. Any family-friendly decorating idea is welcome.
We’d much rather have you join us than stay home because you couldn’t figure out how to turn your minivan into a castle.
What About All That Candy?
We recommend that trunk hosts start with around 400–500 pieces of individually wrapped candy.
But you don’t have to supply enough candy for the entire crowd yourself.
Open Arms is collecting candy donations ahead of the event to create a central candy supply. If trunks start running low during the evening, our volunteers will help replenish them as supplies are available.
If you’re able to bring more candy, that’s fantastic. But don’t let the cost of candy keep you from signing up.
Not Hosting a Trunk? You Can Still Help!
We’re also looking for people, businesses and organizations willing to donate candy.
In some years, Trunk or Treat has welcomed more than 1,000–1,500 people, so it takes a lot of candy to keep those buckets full!
