Letting Go: a Lenten Week 4 Reflection on Surrender, Release, Repentance
Repentance isn’t about standing in a corner long enough for God to believe we’re sorry. It’s about surrender—letting go of the things that keep us from Him. In this honest Lent reflection, Caleb Daugherty shares the moment he stood over a trash can, pouring out bottles and watching an old life die so that something better could begin. Sometimes repentance starts with two simple words: dump it.
Into the Wilderness: A Lent Week 3 Reflection
Lent often meets us in the same place Elijah found himself after Mount Carmel — exhausted, discouraged, and hiding in the wilderness. In 1 Kings 19, the prophet who had just witnessed fire fall from heaven collapses under a broom tree and tells God, “I have had enough.” Instead of rebuke, God meets Elijah with rest, food, and a whisper in the cave. This Lent reflection explores how God still meets us in our wilderness moments today — not with shame, but with quiet restoration and renewed purpose.
Led, Not Lost: A Lent Week 2 Reflection on Trust and God’s Leading
When we return to God, clarity doesn’t always come right away. This Lent Week 2 reflection explores what it means to trust God’s leading, even when we can’t yet see the path ahead.
